Essentials

My very first year living in Europe I had no idea what to bring with me. I was so excited to move and experience a new country but the thought of having to pick and chose my favourite things to bring was difficult. I had no guidelines or help from anyone. I brought my favourite clothes, purses, shoes etc. My GHD straightener from home (which blew up on me), my makeup, favourite hair/skin care line etc. The usual things every girl packs. I didn’t realize my priorities were way off. Being so young and naive I assumed they would have similar stuff from home that I could easily buy so I didn’t have to pack so much stuff.  I learned the hard way that they don’t. There is no worse feeling than being sick in a foreign country and not being able to just goto the pharmacy and pick up medication you are used to from home. Times have changed. I’ve learned a lot over the years and accumulated a list of my must haves to bring. Whether you are moving for hockey, work or traveling Europe these are some of my essentials I always bring with me every year we move to Europe for hockey. These definitely make our lives living so far from home much easier!

  • Eye Drops
  • Gravil
  • Advil
  • Melatonin (This is great for those sleepless nights)
